Borealis is a music festival situated in Heimaey Island, Vestmannaey Jar, a southern Icelandic volcanic zone.
(WHY)
The festival takes place under the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) and aims to celebrate this multi-coloured natural wonder through music, dance and art.
(WHEN)
Borealis Festival is a 3 day/night festival, the last one happening during New Year’s Eve, which follows the Icelandic ancestors’ beliefs that Auroras were associated with childbirth, meaning a new life, a start of something new.

The visual identity of Borealis Festival focuses on the concept of progression, constant yet unpredictable evolution, by using a vibrant color spectrum and dancing visuals.
